Reindeer 10k with family

Just before Christmas I had a chance to run with my cute "nephews".
I had a virtual 10k to run and they wanted to go with me.
Yes it was cold. But I had to go cause I am in training.

It was also the day we would say goodbye to our elf Trinket.  Her wrote them a letter, left some toys and they gave him a goodbye kiss.
OK back to the story. Running.

We decided to do it at the high school track. Then they could go their pace and I could go mine.

We look excited right?

It was a lot of fun. We sang Christmas Carols as we were running.

Took some selfies...
Don't mind the weird face as I run.

Then just like that we were done.

So much fun to go out with kids and do fun activities together. After this we went on a hike!!

Monster, Oatmeal and Guardians oh my

So the point of me signing up for winter races was to keep running and stay in shape.

 I am 1 for 2.

It just goes back and forth. I haven't really been putting all my efforts into running lately.
I guess the drawback, for me, in signing up for so many races it that I get burned out.
So today I just ran for fun. No gps tracking no planned route. Just me and my tunes. I have no idea how far I went. i have no idea what my pace was . I went out in the winter cold and just ran. It was awesome. I loved it.

It was dark and cold at 5 am. but I did it!!!
Yep left that on the counter. Need to do that more often.
I also get to come home and snuggle with this cutie. Plus she keeps my bed warm.
My kids and I are addicted to this movie and the sound track. Shawn has to dance with me to every song.
This was breakfast this morning. Um yes we are a family of techies.

Do you see a theme? Yep he is my monster. I love him. He is also not a fan of double dipping. One bite and sets it to the side.

How do you keep active in the winter?

What soundtrack is your favorite?

Favorite movie?

Favorite song?

Oh Pumpkin spice

I consider myself to be a pretty good judge when it comes to non-Starbucks Pumpkin Spice. I love it. I actually love anything Pumpkin Spice.

Pumpkin spread

Seriously addicted

So I was at Target the other day. Another addiction. I needed some new coffee for my Keurig, which they did not have, and I came across Pumpkin Spice. So I grabbed it. Worth a try right? I have tried other brands of Pumpkin Spice and not been thrilled so I was hesitant.

It is FANTASTIC. I love it. I added a little bit of Vanilla Creamer to it. Then enjoyed it in my new favorite cup from one of my favorite races.

Speaking of one of my favorite races let's talk about it.

So the last 2 December I have run/walked the Bakers Dozen Half Marathon. It is a 3+ mile loop race that you do 4 times. At the end of each loop you get a treat from the Sugar Shack. At the end of the race you get a super big totally awesome medal. Of course you do not get the medal if you don't complete the laps and eat your treats.
I went as a snowman this year. Shelby was so upset I dressed as Olaf and not Elsa.

Nothing like a great picture of the potty line before the race.
A little trail running along the way.
I had to have a least one doughnut for my friend Kaylynn from Among the Young
Getting marked up at the Sugar Shack

You can even see Buddy the Elf! This is the race director Cory from Fast Cory. He is so amazing.

This year they added a relay option. 4 members do 1 loop. I am so doing this race with my entire family next year.

If you want to get more info on this race go to the Facebook page here.

Do you love Pumpkin Spice?

Forgotten pictures glow much fun

I completely forgot that I had these pictures.  So here they are and the story to go with it.

My Aunt and her family came for Thanksgiving as you saw in a previous post. We like to fit as much fun as we can in while she is here. So on the last day we had quite a fun filled time.

Shelby got to wear her new bow from Sweet Petunia Boutique....sorry for the blurry picture Courtney.
Along with a new outfit perfect for the season....from Zulily
I had to tackle Mr. Man for a picture.

Then we were all set to make cookies and watch Polar Express.

 Then make a gingerbread house.

The fun didn't stop there. That night we went to the little showing of the Buffalo Gap Town Christmas. It is a window show with a narrator. The town is a complete model train set. It was a beautiful set and a meaningful story.

Then it was on to the town Christmas Light Parade. Our little town does this every year. It is so cute. This year did not disappoint.  They had a float with the Nightmare Before Christmas theme. AWWW my main man Jack.

Hanging out before the parade.

Then it was back to the house for another light show. Auntie brought close to 300 glow sticks for the girls to play with.

We were still having fun with them the next day in the tub.

It was so much fun having them here for the holiday. We can not wait to see them again at Christmas.
