Star Wars 5k and Disneyland Day 2

After having a very long first day at Disneyland I was ready to sleep. We had to get up at 3:30 am the next morning. We had to get ready and be at the start line of the Star Wars 5k by 5:30. The earlier the better to get to the start of the corrals.

We were in Corral C for the 5k. Did you see I put WE? That's right my non running hubby did it with me. I was so excited to do this with him. He hurt his knee in training and could barely walk but was determined to do it. I am so proud of him.

It was seriously cold at the start. We forgot money to get coffee. See our tired faces.
On the shuttle to Disneyland. He puts up with all my selfies.
At the start line. See him humoring me....
 Fireworks to start us off!!!
I love the fact that we run by the castle everyday...
We didn't stop for character pics but we had an amazing time walking through the park. It is truly a different experience when it is just a bunch of runners.
See I told you he is awesome. We finished together side by side hand in hand. I had the most fun with him. We were ready to get some food, get the kids and start day 2 in the park.
It was the longest day in the park. We had so much fun.

Yep we match...loving our Avengers shirts
 They look excited huh?

 See our photo bomber

You really have to catch this one off guard or you get the following....

We watched the new Frozen Fun Sing a snowed's not a trip to Disneyland without a Dole Whip.

I let her drive. Even the guy next to us was scared.

He does know how to smile and he has a great one huh?

Shelby was so tired she fell asleep in the park and had to be carried all the way back to our room.
End of a good day.

The next day was the Star Wars 10k and the kids races. We also took a trip to the beach.

Disneyland Star Wars Weekend Day 1

After spending a week in California I was not ready to come back to the cold. We had very lovely weather for January.

I took so many pictures this trip I figured I would break it up into sections.

First off I have to tell you that we booked through Get Away Today travel. They were amazing. I love the deal that we got and the service. I will be using them again in the future.

We stayed at the Stanford Inn and Suites. For this family of 6 it was perfect. Older kids got their own room and bathroom. Adults and littles got a room and bathroom. No fighting over beds or bathrooms. It was even decorated Disney style. Perfection.
After getting settled we headed to Downtown Disney to go ice Skating at the new Frozen Fun zone. My mom and sister came and we had so many laughs.

Thanks for the fun Olaf!

 Perfect big brother
 Concentration at it's best!
Pure excitement people!!!
All by herself folks!!!

The next day we hit the park but went to the expo first for packet pick up.
 Check out Elsa visiting Olaf!
She has her Mickey hat on.

We were finally ready to hit the park,

We met a few characters. Had some of our favorite snacks. We found Bubba's favorite ride as well.

By the end of the day we were ready for the 5k the next day......stay tuned
