Last Max Cardio

This morning I finished the last round of Max Out Cardio in the Insanity Max 30 program. Month 2 in no joke. I pushed hard. Last week added in running. Look at the numbers!!!
Today I made it through the whole 30 minutes. I was so pumped. Especially since I kept getting slower.

               I have never had any muscles in the upper body. Pretty proud of how my arms are looking.

My kids were up at 4:30 am this morning. The first day of spring break. Maybe this was the reason for the push. Who knows but I am excited.

I forgot I knew how to run

After the Star Wars Half Marathon weekend I struggled to fall in love with running.  I had planned for a half marathon in February and that didn't happen. I planned to do a relay race in March and that didn't happen.
I had/have been doing Insanity Max 30 and I stopped running. I have been watching my body change shape with Insanity Max. I was losing weight and gaining muscle. I was ok with that.

 I have Ragnar Trail-Zion in a month and knew I needed to change my mindset. I needed to start running again.

Would my body remember how to run?
Could I just pick up where I left off?

Would I love it again?

The answer to all of those questions is YES!!!

After the first day back on the treadmill I was in love with running again. My body remembered what to do. I was even a bit faster then when I was training for Star Wars.

So I have been running everyday and doing Insanity Max. I will say I max out a little faster this week then last week due to the added workouts but I am still pushing myself.

I am amazed at what my body is able to do. I not only remember how to run I love it again.

I am a sweaty mess but it is paying off.

Happy St. Patricks Day

This year is going down as a flop in my department.

Normally I have decorations out, green colored food and a little mischief around the house. This year with the move I did not do that.

I have called myself a failure all day. I am not saying moms who don't go all out are failures. I am saying I feel like one because I love doing that stuff. I love the little holidays as much as the big ones. I want my kids to remember the traditions we start. 

I was able to get some green stuff and a little mischief in at lunch.

 Green hair accessories....check
 Green clothes.....check

Spring and Baseball

It is starting to feel like spring around here. We are having a lot of fun in the sun. I love when spring comes. It brings life back out from the drab winter. We needed to celebrate with some time outside and some pictures.

She is so full of sass but I love her. She is at the age where she loves to goof off in front of the camera. I was trying to get nice spring pics. She is my mini me and knows how to push my buttons.

With spring comes baseball for us. This last week was the first week of games for the oldest boy. 2 full days of tournament play. We had some tired kids afterwards. 
 Pretty sure the Angels need him as a mascot. So dang cute in his Jersey.

                        Spring brings new life to the dead of winter. I am loving the warm weather.

Insanity Max 30 month 1

So last Friday I ended month 1 of Insanity Max 30.

Many of you wonder what this is. Isn't it just like Insanity?  Not really

Many say "oh ya I have done Insanity before." This is all NEW!!

I will say upfront I was scared of Insanity. The original. It is still in the box it scares me so bad. I barely get through the warm ups.

Last December Shawn T introduced Insanity Max 30.  It was made for people like me. I don't have a lot of time to workout and I want to get the most from my workouts. BAM! Done with this new program.

What is it:
30 minutes of hard core Insanity.

What is different:
Modifier Track. You can chose to follow the modifier while still watching Shawn T and the others. This is amazing. If you choose to follow the modifier like myself you will still get an intense workout. I do a hybrid version. I do some Shawn T and then I modify. I am not failing because I follow the modifiers. They still kick my butt. 

Also it is 30 minutes. I love this. I need quick.

What does Max  mean?
You go as hard as you can without stopping or failing. If you need to take a break. Then go right back to it. The goal is that at the end of the program you will be going the full 30 minutes before maxing out.

So here are my before shots:

 Month 1 was amazing and hard. I loved it. I follow my own food plan (IIFYM) and had some days that I messed up. Also the last 3 days of the month we were moving. Nothing goes right when you are moving.

My daily make-up routine

Last week I promised some followers a video showing techniques I use everyday when applying make-up.
